Ohio State remains 3rd in Week 5 USA TODAY Coaches Poll Top 25

The Buckeyes' 76-0 win over FAMU was enough to prevent another tumble.

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

Though the Buckeyes' recent status in Top 25 polls had been fluid, a dominant 76-0 showing against Florida A&M has put Ohio State's poll life in a bit more stable of a situation.

For the second straight week, Ohio State finds themselves in the third overall spot, trailing only the Pac-12's Oregon and defending two time national champions, Alabama. Those two remain the only sides with first place votes in the poll.

Joining Ohio State in the Coaches Poll are Northwestern (#16), who despite a paltry showing against FCS-side Maine, leapfrogged Michigan (#17), who looked poor for a second consecutive week against a significantly outclassed opponent. Just in time for their showdown with the Buckeyes, Wisconsin re-enters the fray, this week ranked #24.
