Ohio State still 3rd in USA TODAY Coaches Poll Top 25

Though some expected Ohio State to fall in the AP Top 25, the nature of the USA Today Coaches Poll suggested they'd likely remain static in the #3 spot (which they did).

It was never likely the Buckeyes would be punished by the sports information directors of America following their 31-24 victory over Wisconsin, but now we have official confirmation that that didn't prove to be the case.

For another USA TODAY Coaches Poll Top 25, the Buckeyes find themselves third in the country trailing only Alabama and Oregon. Clemson remains the only other team nationally to get a first place vote in the poll. Georgia moved up four slots this week after downing LSU between the hedges while the Buckeyes' next opponent, Northwestern, moved up one slot from 16th to 15th.

Also representing the Big Ten in this week's Coaches Poll are Michigan, who finds themselves #17 for the second straight week, as well as Nebraska, whose 59-20 victory over South Dakota State two weeks ago apparently was enough for them to make their way back into the Top 25 after an absence following their 41-21 home loss to UCLA in Week 3.

Here was the Week 6 USA TODAY Coaches Poll Top 25 in its entirety:
