Ohio State looks to continue their 13-game winning streak as they play host to the Mountain West's San Diego State Aztecs. The Buckeyes struggled with consistency, dehydration, and cramps in their season opener against the University of Buffalo, but emerged victorious, 40-20.
San Diego State, meanwhile, had a nightmare of an opener, falling 40-19 at home to then #23 (in the FCS ranks) Eastern Illinois. The Aztecs were dominated in the trenches against the should've-been physically inferior Panthers. SDSU also struggled to find offensive consistency with star running back (who Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer has called maybe the best back Ohio State will see all fall) Adam Muema sidelined with an ankle injury. With Muema expected to be back and near 100%, SDSU will need to find themselves and in a hurry if they want to be able to be competitive with the more talented Buckeyes.
Below is your Ohio State-SDSU GameThread. If this is the first time you're joining us, be it Buckeye, Aztec, or neutral observer, welcome! We're thrilled to have you. We don't have an awful lot of rules here; just be yourself, be good to your fellow college football fans, and be Internet-ty. Go Bucks.
