Ohio State jumped out to a huge lead, taking the inconsistency they exhibited a week prior and instead channelling it into a solid half and change. Though both teams sort of let the air out of the stadium during a lackluster second half, there were still plenty of key take aways.
The Buckeyes might get some skepticism this week due to Buffalo's pounding at the hand of lesser BCS school side, Baylor, but the highlights from Saturday's action more or less spoke for themselves. Let's take a look at some of the key plays from a busy Saturday of Ohio State football action.
After Braxton Miller went down, Kenny Guiton came in, executed a perfect option, and found Dontre Wilson for his first career touchdown as a Buckeye. Congrats, young man:
Doran Grant with his first interception of 2013 against San Diego State starter Adam Dingwell:
Kenny Guiton with beautiful touch on this ball to Philly Brown:
Defensive lineman Steve Miller gets in on the action:
Ryan Shazier doing what Ryan Shazier does best:
Braxton who? Kenny Guiton shows off his wheels.
An option, run to perfection:
Then a HUGE play by defensive lineman Michael Bennett, who looks to be finally coming into his own:
Kenny Guiton to Corey Brown, redux:
Armani Reeves atones for an uneven Week 1 with this interception of SDSU's second quarterback of the afternoon:
Jamal Marcus forces a big fumble and the even bigger Chris Carter recovers it to kill SDSU's final hopes of scoring a second time:
