The Buckeyes 2014 recruiting class currently had 21 commitments, which leaves room for only three or four more players to join the "Dream 14". There are only a handful of players who are still being considered for these remaining spots.

One of them is Cedar Grove (NJ) wide receiver/tight end David Njoku, who placed Ohio State in his top 4 moments ago. Joining the Bucks in his top four are Miami, Penn State, and Temple . He took a visit to South Beach a couple of weeks ago and the 'Canes probably hold a slight lead in his recruitment as things currently stand.

Njoku has yet to receive an offer from the Scarlet and Gray, but the Buckeyes have started to show significant interest in the 6'4, 215 pound New Jersey product. He had an in-home visit with Ohio State tight end coach Tim Hinton about a month ago and it went well enough that the two parties were able to set up an official visit which is slated to take place next weekend (January 17th).

UPDATE 1/11: I found out last night that "nothing is definite" regarding his OSU official. While still interested, it's possible he may reschedule or potentially not ultimately even take the visit.

While he could play receiver or tight end at the college level, he's probably best suited for tight end because he lacks the speed necessary for a good receiver as the best 40-yard dash he has clocked is 4.70. He will need to put on some weight in order to slot in at tight end, but that shouldn't be too much of an issue, especially if he had someone like OSU strength coach Mickey Marotti to work with.

It's still pretty unclear if he'll receive an Ohio State offer at some point, but the coaching staff has told him that it's a possibility and they'd like to get to know him better through phone conversations and on his official visit next week. We'll give you the latest on his recruitment as more information becomes available. In the meantime, check out some of his highlights:
