Recruiting Must Reads
Recruiting Must Reads
Since the dead period ended a little over a week ago, the Ohio State football coaching staff have been all over the United States checking in on a number of prospects. Today is no different as Buckeyes tight end coach, Tim Hinton made his way to Missouri to visit with some of the best recruits the Show Me State has to offer.
One school Hinton made an appearance at earlier was to Rock Bridge High in Columbia to introduce himself to class of 2015 wide receiver, Alex Ofodile. "He said that the coaching staff as a whole hasn't looked at my film, but he has and he said he recommended they offer me." The 6'3 185-pound four-star playmaker told Land-Grant Holy Land of his conversation with Coach Hinton.
After racking up over 800 receiving yards as a sophomore for Rock Bridge, Ofodile, who will play in the 2015 U.S. Army All-American Bowl, came back as a junior to haul in almost 100 receptions for 1,293 yards and 15 touchdowns. Programs such as Arkansas, Florida State, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan State and Missouri, where his father played college ball, have all offered him full ride scholarships so far.
Even with a long list of impressive scholarship offers under his belt, Alex stated if the Buckeyes were to send one his way it would without a doubt put them "Pretty high" on his short list. He has a un-official visit lined up to Bloomington, to check out the Indiana program this weekend and said if Ohio State were to offer, he would like to make it to Columbus for a visit in the near future.
See why so many programs are interested in Ofodile with these highlights of him in action from last season:
