Lakewood, OH St Ed.'s product Alex Stump's been a Kentucky commit since this past May. Though Stump's been solid to the 'Cats during his five months with a verbal pledge to Mark Stoops and co., the one offer many thought could shake things up finally came from Mark Pantoni, Urban Meyer, and the Ohio State recruiting brain trust late September.
On Sunday, Stump made his flip official. The Buckeyes add another 247Sports composite four-star commit to their talented 2015 class in the 6'3, 190 pound wideout. The flip from Kentucky to Ohio State was first reported by Scout's Bill "Bank" Greene.
Stump is currently missing his senior season after tearing four ligaments at the top of his foot. The injury occurred during St. Edward's game against Elder the day before he received his OSU offer. With the commitment from Stump, the Buckeyes pass LSU to move into 14th in the 247Sports Composite team rankings.
Stump took to Twitter to announce the news himself shortly after it first broke:
I am flipping my commitment from Kentucky to THE Ohio State University. It has always been my dream to stay home and play for the Buckeyes— Alex Stump (@ShowTime_Stump) October 12, 2014
