Coming off of their final bye week of the season, the Buckeyes had two weeks to prepare for their game against Rutgers. At the same time, the recruiting staff has been working diligently to prepare Ohio State's campus for hosting not only the Scarlet Knights, but recruits that are making the trip to Columbus to see the Big Ten matchup.
Among many of the players visiting on Saturday, '16 CB Tobias Gilliam announced to Twitter on Monday that he plans to head to Ohio State this week. Gilliam is a 6'1, 185-pound cornerback out of the Dayton area, and has been clocked at a 4.51 in the 40-yard dash. He already holds offers from Bowling Green and Toledo, but is receiving interest from Alabama, Illinois, Kentucky, Miami (OH), Michigan, Michigan State, and Penn State, along with the Buckeyes.
Having already taken an unofficial visit to Ohio State earlier this year during the spring, Gilliam is clearly interested in the home state Buckeyes, as he also participated in the annual Friday Night Lights camp. For now, Gilliam doesn't hold an offer from Ohio State, but if he improves this season and beyond, you could see him eventually become a Buckeye.

Another prospect that announce he was visiting Ohio State this weekend, via Twitter, was '16 WR Brad Hawkins. The 6'2, 190-pound Hawkins hails from New Jersey and is rated as a four-star recruit under the 247Sports Composite. Hawkins is also ranked as the 33rd best wide receiver in the country and the seventh best player at any position from the state of New Jersey.
Hawkins holds offers from Florida, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Old Dominion, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia, among others. As of now, Hawkins' 247Sports Crystal Ball has a three-way tie between schools that are favored to land the wideout. Ohio State, South Carolina, and Temple all have 33 percent of the vote.
Also on board for the Rutgers game this week is '15 OG Josh Wariboko, who also holds an offer from Ohio State. According to Steve Wiltfong at 247Sports ($) Brendan Ferns is another potential recruit that could make a visit to Columbus as the Buckeyes host the Scarlet Knights. It's also worth keeping an eye on Rashad Roundtree and Nyheim Hines, as the bolt also mentions those recruits as potential visitors this weekend. We'll keep you up to date on the latest with those recruits as well.
