Jeff Heuerman gives an Ohio State fan with muscular dystrophy a game ball

What a special moment for the Ohio State locker room and one brave young fan.

We shared the photo of an Ohio State fan with Duchenne muscular dystrophy being escorted out to the fifty yard line before OSU's big game against Cincinnati last weekend, but today comes an even more awesome scene.

In the immediate aftermath of the Buckeyes' 50-28 win over the Bearcats, OSU head coach Urban Meyer let tight end Jeff Heuerman present a young fan named Jacob the game ball for the win.

"This is one of the more special things I've got to do while at Ohio State; is hand Jacob this game ball," Heuerman told the locker room, Jacob, and his brother.

After speaking to how inspirational Jacob and family's visits during game week to practice were, Heuerman says "For what you do for us, I don't think we can ever repay you."

The young fan was so understandably shaken up he couldn't speak, but he got a hug and a cool handshake with Meyer out of it in addition to the memories for a lifetime.

It goes without saying that all of Buckeye Nation is behind Jacob. He and those fighting just like him will continue to be in our collective thoughts and prayers.
