As first reported by Lantern TV, Ohio State will be taking on Penn State during the Nittany Lion's 'White Out' at Beaver Stadium while wearing their all-white Rivalry alternate uniforms (a derivative of what was once known as 'Pro Combat'). Ohio State wide receivers coach Zach Smith coyly confirmed the Buckeyes' aesthetic counter of the 'White Out'.
The uniform includes chrome helmets with much larger uniform numbers than normal, with a white outline around the scarlet and a larger type face. The shoulder stripes are larger and more pronounced and are a bit more conformed to the uniform than those on the ordinary jerseys. The collar also features a Block O.
The Buckeyes wore the same uniforms against Michigan last season, where Ohio State escaped with a 42-41 win over the Wolverines. While the uniforms were a hit with the fan base for the most part, here's hoping for a less stressful result later tonight, when J.T. Barrett and the Buckeyes will go head-to-head with Penn State.
Here's what you can expect when the Buckeyes trot out in the all-white uniforms:
