The big news from Wednesday came when head coach Thad Matta and the basketball Buckeyes officially added four prospects into the fold. It was National Signing day for the 2015 hoops class and Ohio State finished with the 7th-ranked class in the nation and the best class in the Big Ten Conference.

The four that officially inked their signatures on the dotted line are Daniel Giddens, Austin Grandstaff, A.J. Harris and Mickey Mitchell.  The aforementioned prospects all come in the variety of four-star prospects. Harris was the lone commit from the state of Ohio, Grandstaff and Mitchell come from the state of Texas, and lastly, 6'10 center Daniel Giddens comes from the Peach State.

Cager to begin football visits:

On the football side of things, it's time for '15 WR Lawrence Cager to start making his official visits. According to Adam Friedman of Rivals.com, the first visit could take place this weekend in Tuscaloosa but that visit is not set at this time. However, Cager will definitely be making an official visit to Wake Forest next weekend when they face Virginia Tech. After that visit, it's on to Columbus for the 6'5, 200-pounder, and he will finish his officials with trips to Virginia Tech and Notre Dame. The Buckeyes are hopeful they can add the three-star wideout to the fold and pair him with St. Edwards' Alex Stump, who was formerly committed to Kentucky.

2016 LB plans to visit Columbus:

Shifting gears to the 2016 side of things, '16 LB Carter Coughlin of Eden Prairie (MN) is planning to visit Ohio State before making his decision according to Rivals' Miles Joseph. The four-star linebacker received his offer from the Buckeyes in early September and has been on campus a couple of times. Another school in the mix for Coughlin is the in-state Gophers, whom he has visited seven times during the process. As of now, the Crystal Ball for Coughlin favors Minnesota with the Buckeyes having an outside shot. Interestingly enough, this weekend the Buckeyes and Gophers will face off and you could bet that the 6'3, 200-pounder will be watching.

Decision time for top QB:

Lastly, it's decision day for '16 QB Malik Henry and he will be choosing between Florida State, Notre Dame, Ohio State and UCLA later today. Henry is a five-star prospect and the fifth-overall player in the 2016 class. He also sits at No. 1 in the state of California and at his pro-style QB position. While the Buckeyes would love to add the five-star to a class that already includes '16 OG Tyler Gerald, '16 WR/TE Kierre Hawkins and '16 RB George Hill, it looks unlikely. The Seminoles and Fighting Irish are the two with the best chance at landing Henry according to the Crystal Ball.
