The Buckeyes survived the Minnesota cold and have risen to No. 6 in the College Football Playoff rankings. As LGHL's Matt Brown discussed here, there are still some things that we need to see happen if Ohio State wants an invitation to the inaugural dance. One thing that definitely needs to happen, though, is that we need to win out. This week, we take on the Indiana Hoosiers. Let's look at how you can enjoy the action, as well as the other exciting games of the day.
When and where is the game today?
After two games on the road, the Buckeyes are returning home today. Kickoff will be at 12 p.m. ET in the Horseshoe. While we're probably not going to be looking at the same tundra-like weather conditions we played in last week, it'll still be cold. This is Big Ten football in November, after all.
How can I enjoy the game from the warmth and comfort of my own home?
This week's game will be televised on the Big Ten Network. They are showing two games at noon today, though: Indiana vs. Ohio State and Rutgers vs. Michigan State. TWC in Columbus will have our game on channel 1333. If you live somewhere else or have a different television provider, the BTN has a convenient GameFinder on their site that will tell you where you can watch based on where you live. The game will also be available on BTN2Go, though you'll have to log in with your TV provider. As always, you can also listen on 97.1 FM The Fan or your local Ohio State radio network affiliate.
What's going on with GameDay this week?
The folks at ESPN have decided to return to the FCS action this week and will be heading to Massachusetts, where FCS No. 14 Harvard will host their rival, Yale. That may not sound too exciting, but keep in mind that Harvard is undefeated this season, and Yale has only one loss. That game will be on at 12:30 p.m. ET on the NBC Sports Network, so if for some reason you get tired of watching us score a million points against the Hoosiers, you can switch over to that.
What about the teams ranked ahead of us?
The five teams currently ranked ahead of us are Alabama, Oregon, Florida State, Mississippi State, and TCU. If we're going to move up two spots, we're probably going to need some of them to stumble. Alabama hosts Western Carolina at 4 p.m. Oregon hosts Colorado at 4:30. Florida State plays against Boston College at 3:30. Mississippi State plays Vanderbilt at 7:30, and TCU has a bye. None of these should be too challenging for the top schools, but stranger things have happened.
When does the rest of the B1G play?
Most of the B1G action will be taking place at noon today. In addition to our game, we also have Penn State at Illinois, Northwestern at Purdue, Minnesota at Nebraska, and Rutgers at Michigan State all starting at noon. At 3:30 p.m., Wisconsin will play at Iowa, and Maryland will take on Michigan, our opponent next week.
