Ohio State recruiting: Joshua Norwood commits to the Buckeyes

BOOOOM!

Just a few months shy of National Signing Day, the Ohio State class of 2015 is now sitting at 20 verbal commitments, after Urban Meyer and the Ohio State coaching staff were able to secure a pledge from three-star defensive back Joshua Norwood.

Before giving his word to OSU, Norwood, had been a University of Cincinnati verbal commit since June.

After receiving his scholarship offer from Ohio State just about a month ago, the three-star prospect from Valdosta, Georgia, was one of the senior prospects on campus this weekend for an official visit to check out not just what the Ohio State University is all about, but also to watch the Buckeyes take on Illinois.

According to the 247Sports Composite, the 5'10, 165-pound Norwood is the 142nd cornerback and 1,661st overall prospect in the class of 2015, and should add depth to the Silver Bullets in the secondary and on special teams in the years to come.
