Washington D.C. area product Tyler Green decommitted from Ohio State's 2015 recruiting class on Tuesday evening. With spots getting tight in the class, one has to wonder if this wasn't a case of Green making a decision that could ultimately prove in the best interests of both parties.
Prior to his decommitment, Green had been pegged to be solid to the Buckeyes for some time. Green made the announcement official on his Twitter account.
Green grades out as the 529th overall player in the 2015 class. The DeMatha Catholic (Hyattsville, MD) product is the 35th ranked safety in the class and the 14th ranked overall player out of the state of Maryland. Checking in at 6'3, Green has good size for his position. Near by Maryland and West Virginia could both ultimately prove potential landing spots in light of the decommitment.
We wish Tyler all the best with his football playing career moving forward.
