NWCA National Duals 2014 Columbus: Matchups, TV schedule, streaming

First-round matchups have been announced for the 2014 NWCA national duals, held February 16-17 at St. Johns Arena.

Fourteen teams, including 10 currently ranked in the top 25, will descend upon Columbus, Ohio this weekend for The NWCA National Duals. The dual meet tournament will feature four rounds with the two top-ranked teams (Minnesota  and Cornell) each receiving a first-round bye. The Buckeyes will face Hofstra in the first round of the tournament. Head coach Tom Ryan held the same position at Hofstra before coming to Columbus.

Matchups for the first round are as follows:

#1 Minnesota first-round bye
#19 Chattanooga vs. #20 North Dakota State
#17 Iowa State vs. Kent State
#13 Ohio State vs. Hofstra
#10 Oklahoma vs. Bloomsburg
#18 Illinois vs. Central Michigan
#16 Virginia Tech vs. #25 Oregon State
#4 Cornell first-round bye

Minnesota will have a first-round bye and face the winner of the Chattanooga-North Dakota State.

Cornell  will have a first-round bye and face the winner of the Virginia Tech-Oregon State .

The Oklahoma v. Bloomsburg winner will face either Illinois (9-6) or Central Michigan (8-7).

Ohio State (9-4) will face Hofstra (6-7) in the opening round with the winner taking on either Iowa State (8-4) or Kent State (10-9).


Some tickets are still available by calling Athletic Tickets Sales at 614-292-4797, or in person at the OSU Athletic Ticket Office in the Schottenstein Center or any Ticketmaster outlet. Tickets may also be purchased at the Ticket Office in the southeast corner of St. John Arena on the day of the match (beginning 90 minutes prior to the match).
