Wednesday was a fairly slow day in the recruiting world. The Buckeyes did send out one new offer to a big-time 2015 prospect, who is committed elsewhere, and will also have a huge visitor on campus starting later today. They also received a walk-on commitment from a long-snapper.
'15 DT Daylon Mack, who has been committed to Texas A&M since October of last year, picked up an offer from the Buckeyes yesterday. The 6'2", 310-pounder from Texas is one of the highest ranked prospects in this years class. Mack stands at 11th in his class, 3rd at his position and 2nd in the lone star state. That clearly means he is a 5-star talent and his offer sheet shows.
Ohio State just offered!!!

Mack has already received offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, LSU, Oregon, Stanford, Texas and many more. Our own Miles Joesph caught up with Mack yesterday to speak about the Ohio State offer. The Gladewater High School product said he indeed plans to visit the Buckeyes in the future. Stay tuned as we wait to hear more. To see highlights of the Texas A&M commit, click here.
After already checking out programs like UCLA, USC, Texas A&M and others, five star athlete Christian Kirk will finally be headed to Columbus today and starting his unofficial visit tonight. The Scottsdale, Arizona native will be in Columbus until Saturday. The 5-star prospect will likely get the red carpet treatment as he would fit perfectly in an Urban Meyer and Tom Herman coached offense.
When the staff first offered the 5'10 speedster, he told Land-Grant Holy Land that the OSU coaches informed him that they would use him like Urban Meyer did Percy Harvin at Florida. Kirk, who holds scholarship offers from just about every college program under the sun, comes in as the 38th ranked prospect in his class, second wide out and the top ranked prospect in the state of Arizona, according to the 247Sports Composite.
24 hour countdown till I'm in Columbus!😎🏈 #🅾H

The Buckeyes added another walk-on commitment to the class of 2014 last night. Sam York, a 6'1 217 pound long snapper out of Marblehead, Massachusetts became the fourth known prospect to accept a spot on the Ohio State football squad as a preferred walk-on, joining Nick Tensing, Isaiah Williams and Mike Maduko.
I am extreme proud to announce that I will be playing football for The Ohio State University! Thanks to all who have supported me. #GoBucks

York, the 27th rated long snapper in the 2014 class (According to Kohl's Kicking) told our Charles Doss the following on his commitment. "I feel blessed to be a part of this prestigious program and it will be an honor to play for Coach Urban Meyer. This is a dream come true, and there are no words to fully describe how grateful and excited I am to have this opportunity."
