We caught up with Chicago (IL) De La Salle Institute head coach Mike Boehm last Thursday to learn about Jamarco Jones' interest in the Michigan State Spartans and his upcoming final decision between the two Big Ten foes.
Now that Jones' trip to East Lansing has wrapped up, Boehm said Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer and Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio should know about the current Buckeye commit's final decision tomorrow, though when is unclear.
"Jamarco stated he would be calling both coaches tomorrow after talking with his family tonight," Boehm said about his star player's college decision.
Boehm hopes the decision will be made public tomorrow, but he's not 100% sure when his final decision will be known to the masses.
"[I'm] not sure, [I'm] hoping Jamarco tweets (his decision) after he talks to both coaches," Boehm stated about when Jones will make his decision known specifically.
They didn't go into detail when talking about his trip to East Lansing last weekend, but Boehm did say Jones seemed to have enjoyed his time on Michigan State's campus.
"He said his visit to Michigan State went well," he continued. "Not sure what that means, but he said it was cool."
Hopefully we'll have a final answer on Jones sometime tomorrow, but there's a chance the public won't know until Wednesday, as he could elect to announce at the signing ceremony which is scheduled for 3 p.m. Central Time.
I feel a lot better about Jones sticking with the Buckeyes than I did late last week, when I started to lean towards the Spartans with my pick. With new information, I'm starting to lean back towards the Buckeyes, but I wouldn't be surprised either way.
