Ohio State wrestling: Buckeyes stomp Michigan State

The Ohio State wrestling team won 9 of its 10 matches en route to a dominating victory over Michigan State.

Nearly 2,250 fans packed the Massilon Perry High School gym Friday night to see the Ohio State wrestling team take on Michigan State.  Those who made it out were treated to one of the team's most dominant performances of the season as the Buckeyes pounded the Spartans 39-6

Ohio State set the tone early as both Nick Roberts and Johnni DiJulius recorded falls in the evenings first two bouts. Defending national champion Logan Stieber continued the offensive onslaught, racking up 20 points on the way to a 20-3 victory by technical fall. The Buckeyes followed up Stieber's technical fall with four consecutive decision victories, bringing the score to 29-0. Kenny Courts continued the onslaught, recording a fall, and hometown hero Nick Heflin followed with a major decision victory.

The Buckeyes lone loss of the evening came at heavyweight as Nick Tavanello was pinned by #7 Mike McClure. Full match results are available below.
