After recently being selected as one of the class of 2014 prospects to participate in the 2014 McDonald's All-American Game, future Ohio State guard, D'Angelo Russell, who missed most of his senior campaign at Florida's Montverde Academy recovering from knee surgery, has once again been picked to suit up and play in another all-star event.
Earlier this afternoon, it was announced that Russell, the fifth shooting guard and 17th overall prospect in the 2014 class according to the 247Sports Composite, had been one of the talented recruits to be named to play for the West squad in the Jordan Brand Classic on April 18th, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. D'Angelo will play alongside Ohio State target, Myles Turner.
Working his way back from injury, Russell, a five-star prospect, hit the court running and has the 24-1 Montverde Eagles counting down the days until they have a chance to repeat as Champions of the Dick's Sporting Goods National High School Invitational at Madison Square Garden next month.
