Coming off another busy weekend of recruiting, there are a couple of players expected to be on campus this week in order to watch a spring practice.
It wasn't too busy today as far as visitors go, but the Scarlet and Gray did host a pretty big visitor in the form of Jacksonville (IL) offensive tackle Gabe Megginson, who received an offer from the Buckeyes a month or so ago.
For Megginson, it was his first trip to Columbus since participating in Ohio State's second annual "Friday Night Lights" camp last July. He had a great time on his return visit to OSU.
"I got to see everything," Megginson stated. "The city, the facilities; I mean everything. It was great."
The standout offensive lineman had the opportunity to take in this afternoon's practice, which was something he really enjoyed getting to see.
"It was face paced. I love the attitude everyone got. Great energy," Megginson told Land-Grant Holy Land of his experience at Ohio State's practice.
He also had the opportunity to spend some time with Ohio State coaches Urban Meyer and Ed Warinner, where they got to talk about recruiting and other things.
"I spent a lot of time with coach (Mark) Pantoni, (Ed) Warinner, (Chris) Ash, and (Urban) Meyer," Megginson said. "They praise the place so much. You can tell they love being there. They're really passionate and they're great to talk with."
Megginson doesn't have any leaders in his recruitment as things currently stand, but the Buckeyes are definitely high up on his list of schools.
"They're really up there," Megginson said when ask where Ohio State was on his list of schools. "I really enjoy it there (at Ohio State)."
While he isn't exactly sure when he'd like to announce, he would like to do it relatively soon. He also has a couple of visits coming up.
"I'd like to decide before summer," Megginson said of his decision timetable. "(I'm visiting) Penn State tomorrow and N.C. State Thursday.
Ohio State, Wisconsin, Penn State, and many other big programs across the Midwest are going to be big factors in his recruitment. It will be fun to monitor this race over the next month or so.
