A couple of months ago, we reported that Jacksonville (FL) Trinity Catholic safety and Buckeye commit Ben Edwards would be taking visits to a couple of other schools, but was still solid in his commitment to Ohio State.
Some good news emerged today as Edwards told me he was likely going to be making a return visit to Columbus for Ohio State's spring game on April 12th. It will be his first time on campus post-commitment as he hasn't visited since last summer. He will also likely visit Auburn for their spring game on April 19th, then also North Carolina at some point this spring or summer.
"(I'm) just looking forward to being around the coaches and players," Edwards said. "(Also) watching the defenses are doing and getting a feel for things."
Auburn is still recruiting him despite his commitment to the Buckeyes, but he talks to the Ohio State staff the most of any school he talks to and his still a solid commitment to the Bucks.
"Yes, I talk to them [Auburn] as well as Ohio State," he said. "I talk to Ohio State the most."
It will be big for the Buckeyes to get him back on campus, especially for the spring game, which should showcase a great environment. It will be his first time seeing the Scarlet and Gray play in person.
Also worth noting is his teammate, five-star linebacker Jeffery Holland might make the trips with him, though nothing is set right now.
I'm starting to feel pretty comfortable about Edwards sticking with the Buckeyes. Definitely more comfortable than I was even as recently as yesterday.
