Since Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer has taken over the reins in coaching the Buckeyes, the state of Georgia has quickly become one of the most heavily recruited states by the Ohio State coaching staff. To continue that trend, the Buckeyes sent out two new offers to a pair of quarterbacks from the Peach State in the class of 2016.

'16 QB Jawon Pass (what a great name for a quarterback, right?) was offered by Ohio State on Monday, adding to his growing list of impressive teams that have shown interest. The 6'5, 225-pound Pass holds offers from Clemson, Florida, Miami, Mississippi State, N.C. State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, and UAB. During the 2013 season, Pass threw for 2,197 yards and 23 touchdowns on a 67% completion rate. Pass also only threw two interceptions on the year, while rushing for 404 yards and 11 touchdowns.

The dual-threat quarterback is ranked as a 5-star and is in the top 15 of prospects overall, while being rated as the second-best dual-threat quarterback in the class of 2016 and third-best recruit in the state of Georgia. As of now, the Crystal Ball shows Mississippi State (75%) as a favorite over Auburn (25%), but only four experts have weighed in, so it's obvious there is still plenty of time for the Buckeyes to make a push.

'16 QB Zerrick Cooper was the other quarterback offered by Ohio State on Monday. Cooper is a 6'3, 200-pound dual-threat quarterback that has one of the best arms in the state of Georgia. He holds offers from Clemson, Kentucky, Miami, N.C. State, Nebraska, Ole Miss, and West Virginia. It's still very early in Cooper's recruitment process, as he's not yet ranked by the 247Composite, but I would imagine he would be in the upper tier of quarterbacks in the class of 2016.

If you haven't seen his highlight film, I would recommend it. From looking at the tape, you can see he's an extremely patient quarterback who has great pocket awareness. I was really impressed with the way he would extend plays with his feet and still keep his eyes down field to make the throw. But Cooper can run, too. He's a bit of an elusive runner just from looking at that film, but his preference would be to throw the ball instead of run it.

Also receiving an offer from the Buckeyes is '16 DB Jordan Griffin, who is also Cooper's teammate at Jonesboro. Griffin is a cornerback and stands 6'0, 170-pounds. He holds offers from Clemson, Kentucky, N.C. State, and now Ohio State. The 4-star recruit has been in contact with more schools, but will likely see a big increase in his offer numbers soon enough.

Griffin is also rated as the 15th-best cornerback in the country while also being ranked as the 24th-best prospect overall from the state of Georgia in the 247Composite.

To continue the offering spree, '15 WR A.J. Alexander was offered on Monday night by Ohio State. Alexander, a 6'4, 220-pound wide receiver from Virginia, is a 3-star in the 247Composite and holds offers from Boston College, Illinois, Miami, Navy, Northwestern, Penn State, Rutgers, Wake Forest, Wisconsin, and Virginia.

Last season, Alexander caught 41 passes for 650 yards and 7 touchdowns. The Crystal Ball experts currently favor Wisconsin (75%) over Virginia (25%). Check out his highlight film if you haven't seen it:
