The Ohio State football staff was at it again on Tuesday as an offer was sent out to current defensive tackle prospect Eric Whitehead. Whitehead committed to the Hokies on May 3, but that won't have any effect on the amount of attention he'll receive up until signing day. With this Buckeye offer, his total count now stands at six. At 6'1, 300 pounds, Whitehead is a load off the line of scrimmage and just about impossible to move. There's no question that defensive tackle is a need for the Buckeyes in this year's recruiting class and Whitehead seems to fit the bill as a pure run-stopper. Obviously if Ohio State wants to become a huge threat a visit will need to happen and at this point that'll be the biggest thing to keep an eye on for the Indianapolis prospect. If you haven't seen it, here's the film on the big man.

2016 cornerback Wayne Davis, a Virginia native, picked up an offer from Ohio State on yesterday as well. A sophomore who possesses good size at the cornerback position, at 5'11, Davis also holds offers from North Carolina and Clemson. Being from the east coast, there's no doubt that Davis will be a tough pull with competitors from the ACC as well as the resurgence of Penn State's recruiting. However, the Buckeyes are on him early and that can only be a good sign at this point. By the time his senior season rolls around, Davis will be one of the top players at his position in the entire country. His sophomore season saw him earn all-state honors as a cornerback. Check him out in action here.

The staff wasn't done there, however, as they offered '15 FL OL Jalen Merrick. Merrick, who's been blowing up of late, is only evaluated by 247Sports (who pegs him as a three-star). But the 6'5 295-pound lineman, a product of the same high school as current Buckeye James Clark (New Smyrna Beach), could see his star rising almost literally as he continues adding big time offers. He currently's drawing interest from Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and many of the other top programs across the country.
You can check out his highlights here.
Just offered by THE Ohio State University!!!! #Buckeyes#B1G10#Blessed

Finally, OSU issued a late offer out to GA LB Anree Saint-Amour. The linebacker had been tied primarily to home state Georgia or defending SEC East champions, Missouri, of late, but also has offers from Boston College, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, and Illinois.
A Composite three-star, Saint-Amour's another prospect who could see their rankings rise as the 2015 class is evaluated further. You can see him in action here.

Ohio State current signee Brady Taylor, among the other signees who are not yet on campus, will be arriving in Columbus in just about five weeks. Taylor, who is from Columbus, will gave a chance to crack the two-deep on the offensive line when fall camp rolls around.
I report to college in exactly 5 weeks to fulfill my dream of becoming a Buckeye!

-2016 quarterback Jarrett Guarantano took notice of Ohio State last night. Guarantano picked up an Ohio State offer on May 2nd.
