The Buckeye coaching staff was back at it yesterday. Four prospects around the country were on the receiving end of an Ohio State scholarship offer. We will get started with the newest name at the quarterback position for this years class, who received an opportunity to play his college career for the Buckeyes on Wednesday.
After losing out on '15 QB Brandon Wimbush to Penn State and being named fourth on '15 QB Torrance Gibson's list, the Buckeyes jumped in on a new quarterback for the 2015 class on Wednesday. '15 QB Lamar Jackson, a Florida native, is the new name to watch. Ohio State currently joins Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, South Carolina, West Virginia and many others to offer the 3-star signal-caller. Jackson stands at 6'3", 185-pounds and is currently ranked as the 17th best dual-threat quarterback in the country. Also, Jackson is the 454th ranked player in the country and the 59th ranked player in very talented state of Florida.

Moving on to the 2016 class, the Buckeyes sent out an offer to '16 RB Elijah Holyfield of Woodward Academy (GA). Holyfield holds ten offers to his name at the moment, which include Kentucky, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Virginia, Wisconsin and a handful of others. The 5'11", 190-pounder out of Atlanta has a reported 40-yard dash time of 4.55. The highly-touted 2016 RB is the son of the famous boxer Evander Holyfield. You can check out his highlights here.

'16 DE Shane Simmons received three new offers on Wednesday, one of which was Ohio State. The 158th ranked player in his class already has 18 offers under his belt. Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, Penn State, Tennessee and Wisconsin are just a few of those teams. Simmons, a 6'4" 221-pounder, is the 5th best player in Maryland and the 8th ranked strong-side defensive end. The 4-star pass-rusher plays his high school ball at DeMatha Catholic. Florida State is currently in the drivers seat to land Simmons.

Finally, '17 OG Dillan Gibbons of St. Petersburg Catholic (FL) was the last offer on Wednesday. The offer from Ohio State was only Gibbons' second offer so far. The 6'5", 275-pounder also has an offer from the Bearcats of Cincinnati and is receiving interest from the in-state Miami Hurricanes. Gibbons is the younger brother of Stanford signee Reilly Gibbons.
'15 QB Lorenzo Nunez will be making his collegiate pledge today at 6:30 PM according to his Twitter account. The Harrison High School (GA) prospect also tweeted his finalists as South Carolina, NC State and Ohio State. All signs point to Nunez selecting the Gamecocks of South Carolina to play for Steve Spurrier. Nunez is rated as the 199th best prospect in the country according to the 247Composite scale.
