While the Buckeyes didn't land the fourth commitment in as many days, there is still plenty to talk about in the recruiting world from Wednesday. Yesterday, Scout.com unveiled their 2016 recruiting rankings and Buckeye targets filled the list.
Starting off with the in-state 2016 targets for Ohio State. The prospects that find themselves in the Top 100 are OT Tommy Kraemer (16), TE Jake Hausmann (23), DE Prince Sammons (29), WR Justin Layne (48), RB George Hill (60) and LB Brendan Ferns (66). Ohio State has offered all of the above except Sammons and Layne.
The in-state targets in the 100-300 range are OT Liam Eichenberg (110), OT Tyler Gerald (116), ATH Demario McCall (153), ATH Tyrece Speaight (166), DE Jonathon Cooper (230), LB Ethan Tucky (260), DT Jake Saunders (285) and LB Zach Sandwisch (300). Of the names mentioned above, Eichenberg, Gerald and McCall are the only ones to hold an offer from the Buckeyes.
The main out-of-state targets in the Top 100 would be DT Rashan Gary (5), WR Nate Craig (8), DE Nick Bosa (9), DE Rahshaun Smith (34), WR Sam Bruce (44), WR Austin Mack (54) and DE Shane Simmons (71). As expected, the Buckeyes are targeting many others in the Top 100 but these are a few of the biggest names.
For the main (but not all) out-of-state targets in the 100-300 range, you have Safety Nigel Warrior (121), DT Michael Onwenu (122), LB Shaquille Quarterman (130), QB Jarrett Guarantano (143), WR Dez Fitzpatrick (147), QB Dwayne Haskins (152), WR Cameron Chambers (195), DE Malik Barrow (276) and RB Matt Falcon (295)
Diving into the offers that Ohio State sent out on Wednesday. The only offer for this recruiting cycle was sent to '15 ATH Javarius Davis. The Ed White High School (FL) prospect is a three-star in the 247 Composite rankings and holds offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, UCLA, USC and many others. Davis is only rated as the 611th best player in the country and the 78th best player in the state of Florida but his offer sheet will say otherwise. The 5'9", 173-pounder visited Ohio State on Tuesday.

The other two offers sent out yesterday went to 2016 recruiting prospects. First, '16 WR Austin Mack from Indiana was a recipient. The Buckeyes offer to Mack was his biggest scholarship opportunity to date. Mack currently holds offers from Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Indiana and Ohio. Shortly after receiving the offer from the Buckeyes, Mack named them his leader.
Finally, the second and last offer for the 2016 class on Wednesday went to '16 WR Dillon Mitchell. The 6'0", 176-pounder camped at Ohio State on Sunday which lead to his offer from the Buckeyes. Mitchell is a two-sport athlete and is being recruited by many schools across the country as both a basketball and football player. Mitchell holds offers from Ohio State and the Bearcats on the gridiron according to 247Sports.
