Over the course of June, the Buckeyes have hosted many major visitors as a result of their camps and recruits having more free time because school is out.
A couple of weeks ago, Ohio State hosted Jacksonville (FL) Trinity Christian Academy linebacker Jeffrey Holland, who is one of the top players in the 2015 recruiting class as a whole. Holland had a great time on his second ever visit to Columbus.
"It was great. I had a great time," Holland said. "I got to hang out with the coaches and talk a little bit with the defensive players."
While on the visit Holland spent a fair amount of time with Ohio State tight ends coach Tim Hinton, who helps recruit in the state of Florida.
"Coach Hinton," Holland said when asked which coach he bonded with on the visit. "He was just saying they want me to be a Buckeye and come up there and make plays."
Florida and Auburn are thought to be the favorites to score a commitment from Holland, but he also really likes Ohio State and a couple of other schools too.
"I like both of the schools, but Ohio State is still in the mix," he stated. (I also like) UCLA and USC. I like all those schools. That's kind of like a top five."
Due to being a prospective early enrollee, Holland can't wait until signing day, but he still plans on making a relatively late college decision. When asked if he had an idea of where he was going to play his college football, Holland replied "No sir".
"I'm an early enrollee, so I'll probably have to do it at the Under Armour game," he stated when asked when he would make his college decision.
His next college visit will likely be to Florida for their "Friday Night Lights camp next month.
"Probably Florida for Friday Night Lights," Holland said when asked where he would take his next visit. "(Defensive coordinator) coach (DJ) Durkin (is my main recruiter at Florida)."
When he sits down to make his decision somewhere down the road, there are a couple of main factors he'll be taking into account.
"The team, the coaches, the players, and the atmosphere," Holland said when asked what were the biggest factors in his college decision.
