The rest of the names for Ohio State basketball's non-conference schedule are starting to leak in. UMass-Lowell, Sacred Heart and fellow Ohio university Wright State were recently added, to go with major games against Marquette, a tussle in Chicago with North Carolina, and a road game to Louisville.
Per the school, Ohio State will host the Campbell Fighting Camels of the Big South, on November 26th. Last season, Campbell finished 12-20, good for fourth in the Big South North division. The Fighting Camels had a KenPom ranking of 328, and an RPI of 318 out of 349, making them one of the worst teams in the country last season. Ohio State has never played Campbell before.
On paper, this isn't the sexiest of matchups, but it should provide a good opportunity early in the season to give playing time for multiple young contributors, like Kam Williams or D'Angelo Russell, to prepare them for the rigors of Big Ten play.
Future Ohio State games should trickle in over the next few days, but I wouldn't expect anything major, or outside of Columbus.
