Ohio State announced the time for the Buckeyes' third game of the season as they host Kent State. The teams will face off at 12 p.m. on Sept. 13 in Columbus, OH. The game will be broadcast on either ABC, ESPN, or ESPN2. This announcement leaves only five more games that have yet to set a time on Ohio State's schedule. Those games include at Maryland on Oct. 4, at Minnesota on Nov. 15, Indiana on Nov. 22, and Michigan on Nov. 29.
The Ohio State-Michigan game is expected to be under the lights in the Horseshoe this season, as the teams meet for the 111th time, so it's safe to say that will most likely end up being a late afternoon or night game. That leaves Maryland, Minnesota, and Indiana. Since the Buckeyes will be coming off of a three-game stretch where they play at prime time, I could see at Minnesota being a noon or late afternoon game followed by Ohio State hosting Indiana in Columbus with a noon start time. Nothing is set in stone for those games, but I'd imagine that would be the call.
Kent State shouldn't give the Buckeyes too much trouble, though head coach Urban Meyer will have to make sure his team doesn't lose focus after their big non-conference game against Virginia Tech in the second week of the season. The Golden Flashes were 4-8 last season and lost their only game against a top 25 opponent (LSU, who was ranked 8th at the time).
