To start things off, as Charles mentioned in Monday's version of State Secrets, '15 QB Torrance Gibson has made an entrance back into Ohio State's eyes as he has been looking to visit Columbus for Friday Night Lights this week. Now, that visit appears to be set in stone, meaning the roller coaster ride that has been Gibson's recruitment is taking yet another twist.
Ranked as the second best athlete in the country and seventh best prospect overall from the state of Florida, five-star dual-threat quarterback (and possible wide receiver) Torrance Gibson has made it clear that he's interested in Ohio State once again. The 6'4, 200-pound recruit has been said to been favoring Auburn most recently, but with this trip to Friday Night Lights being confirmed via Gibson's Twitter account, you can bet plenty of recruiting experts will see how that affects the young recruit in his decision-making.
It's official I will be visiting The Ohio State University this week! #BuckeyeNation ⭕️

Just got off the phone with Coach Meyer #Buckeyes ⚪️

'15 three-star WR Lawrence Cager tweeted out on Monday that he had gotten off the phone with Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer. This shouldn't really come as much of a surprise, considering Cager will be attending Friday Night Lights in Columbus later this week. I would assume this is a check-in with the coach, see how he's feeling about the camp and whatnot.
The 6'5, 210-pound Cager could be a big target for future quarterbacks at Ohio State as he's ranked by the 247Sports Composite as the ninth best prospect from the state of Maryland. While he doesn't yet hold an offer, Cager has said the Buckeyes would lead if he lands one. Since he already holds an offer from Alabama, I could certainly see him landing one during the Friday Night Lights camp.
Top 8 tonight at 6 !!

One recruit who will not be in attendance on Friday is '15 OL Matthew Burrell (Woodbridge, VA). The 6'5, 290-pound is a four-star recruit and is ranked as the fifth best offensive guard in the country and the fifth best prospect overall from the state of Virginia. Monday afternoon, Burrell tweeted he would be releasing a top eight later on, but never did so. It probably just got delayed, and you can expect a release of the list at some point in the near future.
Top 5 coming August 1st, decision coming December 13th!
— Damien Harris (@Damien_D1Harris) July 22, 2014
'15 RB and one of Ohio State's top targets in the class of 2015, Damien Harris, will be releasing his top five on August 1 (which is only a week away on Friday) and will then make his final decision on December 13 to see where he will play his college ball. While Harris is not attending Friday Night Lights, you don't have to worry, as he already has plans in place to visit Ohio State for The Game against Michigan on November 28.
The 5'11, 205-pound Harris has been clocked at a 4.40 in the 40-yard dash and is the number one running back in the country as well as the number one prospect at any position from the state of Kentucky. Checking in as a five-star, last season Harris carried the ball 220 times for 2,621 yards and an eye-popping 42 touchdowns. Michigan and Kentucky are the only other programs that seem to have a horse in this race, but the Buckeyes currently hold the advantage over the Wolverines and Wildcats.
