Ohio State targets littered the 247Sports class of 2017 recruiting rankings when they were released two days ago. One of those big-time targets of the Buckeyes plans to make his collegiate decision in the very near future.
According to Rivals.com, '17 QB/ATH Bruce Judson will make his decision around game one of his high school season. The first game for Judson will be on August 29th when his Cocoa Tigers take on Champagnat Catholic (FL).
Judson is a five-star prospect in the 2017 class and holds offers from seven programs. The seven teams that have extended a scholarship opportunity to the Cocoa (FL) standout are Cincinnati, Clemson, Florida State, Kentucky, Ohio State, Temple and UAB. He is currently rated as the fourth overall player in the state of Florida and the 16th overall player in the 2017 class.
The 247Sports Crystal Ball for Judson has the Buckeyes as the most likely team to land him at 67%. The speedy athlete from the sunshine state was on hand for Ohio State's Friday Night Lights football camp in late June and came away very impressed. The two teams also with predictions are the in-state Gators and the Hurricanes. Both Florida and Miami (FL) have yet to offer at this point. The 5'10, 170-pounder is a teammate of 2015 Ohio State commit Jamel Dean.
Newly hired defensive line coach Larry Johnson got to speak with one of the nations best in the 2016 class yesterday. '16 DE Rahshaun Smith took to Twitter that he had a chance to catch up with Coach Johnson early on Wednesday.
Smith is one of the best weak-side defensive ends in the country, No. 3 overall, to be exact. He is also the No. 2 ranked player in Maryland and the 50th overall player in the class. He holds offers from 22 programs which include schools like Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Maryland, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia Tech. The primary recruiter for Smith is Larry Johnson, who is the perfect man for the job as he has strong ties in the DMV area.
