Urban Meyer press conference recap: Darryl Baldwin a starter, J.T. Barrett ahead of Cardale Jones, Braxton 'will be ready'

Urban Meyer spoke to the media Saturday two weeks before 2014's season opener. Here were the highlights from those in attendance.

Urban Meyer met with the media on Saturday morning. Though Saturday's practice was initially supposed to be open to the press, that was later changed for reasons unknown. The press conference was supposed to begin at 11:45 a.m., but indicative of the time of the year, Meyer failed to appear until over 45 minutes later.

Here were the notable takeaways from Meyer's time speaking to the media.

Braxton Miller was back, but limited:

He went on to say Miller will "be ready".

Darryl Baldwin will be your opening weekend starter at right tackle:

Alabama transfer Chad Lindsay has been injured but is still competing for a starting spot:

Meyer is high on the defensive line, arguably the strength of the Ohio State defense:

There was a lot of talk that last year's recruiting class would play early. That mostly didn't prove to the case:

But Meyer is optimistic this year's group will buck that trend:

There are a few injuries in the secondary, but one player is really standing out:

Ezekiel Elliott's returned post-wrist surgery, but he's apparently taking it slowly:
