With this year's Ohio State basketball schedule perceived by some to be their softest yet, and with last year's also not likely to turn heads, many Buckeye fans wondered if the Buckeyes need to ramp up their slate before Big Ten play. It appears their calls have been answered.
Ohio State has scheduled a home and home against the defending national champion UConn Huskies, starting in the 2015-2016 season. Per the release, the Buckeyes will first travel to UConn on Dec. 12, 2015, while the Huskies will make the trip to Columbus on Dec. 10, 2016.
Ohio State is already slated to face Kentucky and Memphis on neutral courts for the season, and will presumably add foes from the ACC and the Big East as well, giving them one of their most ambitious schedules in recent memory.
Ohio State is 3-1* all time against UConn, with their most recent meeting, back in 1992, ending in 78-55 win for Ohio State...at least, according to the NCAA, who burned all the tapes of Ohio State's 1999 meeting.
