Marshon Lattimore, a highly regarded recruit from Glenville, was expected to compete for playing time this season. Those dreams are unfortunately now over.
Lattimore tweeted on Tuesday afternoon that he received bad news and later expanded upon that stating that he'd be having surgery Wednesday morning. After undergoing the procedure, the gathered media at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center Wednesday evening were told Lattimore will be out for 3 months and redshirt as a result. The injury was the result of high school hamstring problem that never healed properly.
Patrick Maks from 11W first reported that Lattimore would undergo surgery on a lower leg injury.
The four-star DB chose the Buckeyes over Kentucky, Alabama, Michigan, Oregon, and a slew of other power programs. If Lattimore misses extended time, it thins the rotation at cornerback, which after undisputed number one Doran Grant will be manned by Eli Apple and Gareon Conley.
