Joshua Alabi injury: OSU commit stretchered off, diagnosed w/ cramps

The Ohio State commit left the game on a stretcher in apparent real pain with what later proved to just be really bad cramps.

Ohio State commit Joshua Alabi was taken from his high school football game Friday night off on a stretcher.

What initially sounded from those on the scene like a cramp or an unspecified injury nearly took a turn for the worse after apparently being examined by an EMT and having his pulse taken.

Fortunately, it sounds like the response may have been a bit overkill. According to Scout's Allen Trieu, the injury turned out to just be really bad cramps and thankfully nothing scarier.

Alabi committed to the Buckeyes at Friday Night Lights this past July 25. The 3-star defensive/offensive lineman out of famed Cass Tech in Michigan was a bit of a surprise commitment at the time, but could be a sleeper while also helping further establish a pipeline into the same high school that produced Buckeye corner Damon Webb.
