Ohio State recruiting: State Secrets, 9/18 - Larry Johnson set to visit Dwayne Haskins

Ohio State ready to check out their No. 1 QB for the 2016 class on Friday.

The Buckeyes are still looking to find their signal-caller in the 2016 class to join '16 RB George Hill and '16 OG Tyler Gerald. One possibility that Ohio State is in good shape with is '16 QB Dwayne Haskins of Maryland.

Haskins and the Bullis Bulldogs are 2-1 on the short season thus far and this Friday, they will take on St. Mary's (MD). According to 247Sports' Bill Kurelic, Ohio State defensive line coach Larry Johnson will be in attendance to watch Haskins perform. The 6'2, 185-pounder is a four-star in the class and No. 1 on Ohio State's QB board. The 247Sports Crystal Ball reads 100% in favor of the Buckeyes.

According to Mike Dyer of the Cincinnati Enquirer, USA Football is eyeing '15 LB and Ohio State commit Justin Hilliard to play in the International Bowl next year. Last year, Ohio State signee Dylan Thompson participated in the event.

According to Steve Wiltfong, one of the first prospects that the Buckeye coaching staff checked on during the bye week is '15 DE Terry Beckner. The five-star DE is likely to give Ohio State an official visit butthe Buckeyes want to leave no doubt. Beckner is projected to stay in-state with the Missouri Tigers but also has predictions for Ohio State, LSU and USC on the Crystal Ball.

Lastly, for Buckeye basketball fans, Ohio State checked on ' 16 F Tony Bradley of Bartow (FL) on Tuesday. The 6'7, 200-pounder has 18 offers under his belt and the Buckeyes are not one of them. While not having an offer from OSU yet, the Buckeye are increasing the interest for the four-star. Currently, the Buckeyes are looking to find commit number one in the ghostly 2016 hoops recruiting class.
