How to watch Ohio State-Cincinnati: Game time, TV schedule, and Week 5 TV Guide

The game kicks off at 6 p.m. ET today on the Big Ten Network (channel 1333 on Time Warner Columbus/Deleware).

Greg Bartram-USA TODAY Sports

The bye week is over, and the Buckeyes are back. Today, we take on our second in-state opponent, the University of Cincinnati Bearcats. As everyone knows, it's the in-state rivalries that really matter, so let's take a quick look at what's going on this week with the Buckeyes, as well as the rest of college football.

When and where is the game today?

The Buckeyes and the Bearcats will play today at 6 p.m. in Columbus. Cincinnati is 2-0 so far this season, with wins over Toledo and Miami (OH). This is their first road game of the season. They will be wearing Ohio decals with "Cincinnati" written over them on their helmets and think they can black out Ohio Stadium. They're adorable:

Silly Bearcats. That's Ohio, not Cincinnati.

How do I watch the game?

This week's game will be the first to air on the Big Ten Network this season. You can watch it on TV or through the BTN's streaming service, BTN2Go. (Note: While this is free, it requires you to sign in with your TV provider information. So if you don't have the BTN, you can't access it.) The TV crew this week will consist of Thom Brennaman, Glen Mason, and Lisa Byington. You can also listen to the game on 97.1 The Fan FM and all other Ohio State radio network affiliates.

Before we move on to other games, let me ask one last question: Is a Bearcat even a real thing? It sounds made up.

While it does sound fake, bearcats are actually a real thing. The bearcat, also known as the binturong, is a cat-like creature native to southeastern Asia. The Cincinnati Zoo adopted one in 2008 named Lucy, who is often on campus before UC home games.

Where can I expect to find Lee Corso this week?

This week, College GameDay will be visiting Columbia, SC, where the No. 13 Gamecocks will take on the Missouri Tigers in a game that will be full of SEC speed and the inevitable talk about how the inaugural college football playoffs should just be four SEC teams. That game will be on ESPN and ESPN 3 at 7 p.m. ET.

Next week, our own Matt Brown and I voted for a GameDay appearance at the Air Force-Navy game, and apparently Air Force is on board. Let's make it happen, people.

Also, did you know that South Carolina's version of the Oval is called the Horseshoe? If you Google "The Horseshoe," though, Ohio Stadium is the top hit. We win this round, SEC.

What else is happening in the B1G?

All of our Big Ten action is happening today this week, though most of it is happening at noon, when Northwestern plays Penn State and Iowa plays Purdue. Michigan State, Wisconsin, and Rutgers also all take on non-conference opponents. Maryland takes on Indiana at 1:30 p.m., Minnesota plays Michigan at 3:30 p.m., we play at 6 o'clock, and Illinois and Nebraska finish out the night with their game at 9 p.m.
