Ohio State found themselves rising in the ranks of the college football world on Sunday morning, as the Buckeyes rose to No. 18 in the Amway Coaches Poll Top 25. Ohio State was ranked 20th last week, but clearly impressed voters enough to move up slightly in the rankings after a record setting Saturday. In the AP Top 25, the Buckeyes moved up from No. 22 to No. 20.

With J.T. Barrett and the offensive line looking much improved, and Ezekiel Elliott playing the best game of his young career up to this point, voters have to be liking what the Buckeyes have produced in the past three weeks. With the Big Ten slate coming up this week against Maryland, Ohio State will have plenty on the line as they try and get back into the hunt for the College Football Playoff.

The biggest story in this week's poll is the coaches recognizing that Florida State hasn't exactly passed the eye test to this point. Alabama is your new number one this week for the Coaches Poll accordingly while the 'Noles remain in the top slot in the AP. After Missouri was able to upend South Carolina 21-20 with a late rally, the Gamecocks fell out altogether while the Tigers re-entered the AP Top 25. Duke dropped out of both polls this weekend after a tough loss to Miami (FL). Arizona State lost in embarrassing fashion to UCLA this past Thursday, but still clings on in this week's Coaches Poll at No. 24 with only one loss so far this season. The AP dropped the Sun Devils.
