Report: Evan Lisle could miss rest of 2014 season

The redshirt freshman may miss the rest of the year after suffering an injury.

According to Dave Biddle of Ohio State's 247Sports site, Bucknuts, redshirt freshman offensive lineman Evan Lisle has suffered a knee injury and could miss the remainder of the 2014 season. An Ohio State spokesperson denied Lisle was conclusively sidelined for the year.

Lisle entered Ohio State as a four-star recruit, but some thought at the time he was more of a developmental prospect and would need a season or two of college weight training and conditioning before he'd be able to make an impact. After redshirting last year, Lisle failed to make the two-deep for Ohio State's second game against Virginia Tech, though he appeared on the depth chart for the Navy game.

Lisle was the 76th overall ranked recruit in the country in the 2013 class, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. He was also the No. 7 overall tackle in the 2014 class.
