Ohio State the betting favorites to win the 2015 college football championship

With a loaded roster, Ohio State currently has the best odds to repeat as national champions

Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

Sure, Ohio State just won the 2014 national championship, but that doesn't mean that we can't look towards the 2015 season already.

With what projects to be a loaded roster, next year's version could potentially be even better. Vegas, or at least Bovada, seems to agree, as they have Ohio State as the favorite to win next year's championship. The Buckeyes open as 6/1 favorites to win the 2015 championship, followed by TCU at 15/2, Alabama at 10/1, and Auburn at 14/1. Oregon, the team Ohio State just defeated, is 14/1 to make a return trip to the championship game.

Among teams on Ohio State's schedule, Michigan State has the best odds at 16/1, followed by Michigan at 75/1. Wisconsin and Nebraska, potential opponents for Ohio State in the Big Ten championship game, check in at 33/1 and 50/1, respectively. Ohio State's premier non-conference opponent, Virginia Tech, is at 100/1. There isn't a line on the Ohio State at Virginia Tech season opener, but I feel pretty confident already that the Buckeyes are going to cover.

Bovada also has odds on who Ohio State's quarterback will be to start the season. Cardale Jones is at 11/10, Braxton Miller is at 5/4, and J.T. Barrett is 7/2.
