With just a couple weeks until the official game rosters are released on Jan. 28, it was announced earlier today that three members of Ohio State's class of 2015 signees are in the running to play in the historic McDonald's All-American game.
Point guard AJ Harris (Dayton/Dunbar), center Daniel Giddens (Mouth of Wilson, VA/Oak Hill Academy) and shooting guard Austin Grandstaff (Rockwall, TX/Rockwall) all find their names on the list of well over 300 prospects nominated for the event which will be played on the 1st of April at the United Center in Chicago, IL.
Taking place for over 30 years, the McDonald's All-American game has had its fair share of former and current Buckeyes suit up in the showcase. If Harris, Giddens, or Grandstaff are selected to participate in the game, they would join the likes of Clark Kellogg, Jim Jackson, Greg Oden, Mike Conley, Kosta Koufos, Byron "BJ" Mullens, Jared Sullinger, Amir Williams, Shannon Scott, and D'Angelo Russell as players with OSU ties to play in the event.
Want to see who else made the cut? You can see the full list of 2015 McDonald's All-American nominees here.
Correction: OSU signee Mickey Mitchell is also in the running for the game. A typo on the nominee list has the forward from Texas with the Tennessee recruits.
