Ohio State might have defeated Alabama in the Sugar Bowl last night, but another SEC program beat out the Buckeyes for a very talented prospect yesterday.
After being thought of as a near lock to join the Dream '15 over the last few weeks, three-star class of 2015 defensive back Juwuan Briscoe spurned the Buckeyes to play his college ball in the SEC for the Georgia Bulldogs.
Lacking spots in the class, the 6'0, 185-pound Maryland native would have made 25 verbal commits for the Elite '15. Even though Briscoe would have been a solid pickup for the Bucks, the future of the defensive secondary is looking very bright for Urban Meyer and co.
Returning quite a few underclassmen next season, OSU will add a large haul of talented cornerbacks and safeties to the roster. Jamel Dean, Denzel Ward, Carlton Davis, Joshua Norwood, and Eric Glover-Williams are all current commits who will look to find some early playing time for the Silver Bullets in 2015.
Gallimore set to announce:
While the Buckeyes might have struck out with Briscoe on Thursday, some good news could be on the way this weekend. On Saturday afternoon, class of 2015 defensive tackle Neville Gallimore will announce his college commitment live on national television during the U.S. Army All-American game.
Selecting between OSU and Oklahoma, Neville would make the second straight defensive tackle commitment for the Buckeyes, joining former West Virginia pledge Robert Landers of Huber Heights Wayne.
If Gallimore (who hails from Canada) does indeed select OSU tomorrow, the Buckeyes would jump past Georgia for the third spot in the 247Sports Team Recruiting Rankings.
According to the 247Sports Composite, the 6'3, 300-pound, four-star prospect is the 10th defensive tackle, and 68th overall prospect in the 2015 class.

Watch the future:
Gallimore isn't the only prospect with OSU ties attending an All-American game over the weekend. You probably already know by now, but the Elite '15 will have 14 verbal commits playing in one of the three major All-American games taking place throughout the next few days.
At 4:00 this afternoon future Buckeyes Jashon Cornell, Eric Glover-Williams, and OSU targets Terry Beckner Jr., Christian Wilkins, and Damien Harris will suit up in the Under Armour game live on ESPN.
Tomorrow NBC will bring you the U.S. Army All-American game live at 1:00. OSU commits Justin Hilliard, Torrance Gibson, Jerome Baker, Matthew Burrell, Mike Weber, Dre'Mont Jones, and Liam McCullough will all take part in the annual event. Utah defensive end Porter Gustin and offensive lineman Isaiah Prince join Gallimore as uncommitted prospects with OSU interest in attendance.
To end the weekend, the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl will kickoff at 9:00 Sunday night on Fox Sports 1. Buckeye fans will have a chance to catch a glimpse of what they can expect out of signal caller Joe Burrow, and fellow OSU commits Nick Conner, Jamel Dean, Carlton Davis, and Grant Schmidt.
Land-Grant Holy Land will have much more the aforementioned All-American games and the prospects playing in them over the next few days. Be on the lookout.
