Admittedly newspapers don't have the same cultural significance -- at least with the college crowd -- that they used to. But that certainly doesn't mean that they can't mark important places in time as enduringly as they have for so many years.
While you were sleeping and/or celebrating Ohio State's historic 42-35 Sugar Bowl win over Alabama to advance to the first ever College Football Playoff Championship Game, editors and scribes across the country were putting the finishing touches on their front pages.
