Hosting a small army of prospects today on campus for Junior day, the Ohio State coaching staff received a commitment from one of the top tight ends in the class of 2016.
Earlier Sunday,Cincinnati Moeller four-star prospect Jake Hausmann announced via Twitter that he will continue his playing days, and education at The Ohio State University. Hausmann, who obtained a long list of scholarship offers throughout the recruiting process picked the Buckeyes over chances to play for Notre Dame, Duke, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Ole Miss, and many others.
Still chasing 2015 prospects, the Buckeyes 2016 class is now up to six verbal commitments. The 6'5 245-pound Hausmann joins fellow Ohio bred recruits George Hill of Hubbard, Sciotoville's Tyler Gerald, Kierre Hawkins of Maple Heights, and Jonathon Cooper of Gahanna Lincoln.
According to the 247Sports Composite, Hausmann is the third best tight end and 76th overall prospect in the class of 2016.
