Come August, Ohio State will officially no longer be under the burden of NCAA sanctions that have limited them to just 82 football scholarships each of the past three recruiting cycles. The Buckeyes are recruiting accordingly.
Late Monday, Urban Meyer, Mark Pantoni and the OSU recruiting think tank reeled in pledge number twenty five for the 2015 recruiting class in 6'3, 285-pound defensive tackle (and now former Kentucky commit) DaVon Hamilton. Bucknuts' Bill Kurelic was the first to confirm the development this evening but multiple reports had Hamilton as having made the pledge over the weekend and initially planning to announce on National Signing Day before tonight's news.
Hamilton, a Pickerington Central product, checks in as a three-star in the 247Sports Composite rankings. He's the 90th ranked defensive tackle in the 2015 recruiting class, the 67th ranked player from the state of Ohio, and the 1414th overall rated player in this year's recruiting class. Hamilton was also considering Pittsburgh in addition to the Wildcats.
