Ohio State vs. Illinois 2014 live game updates: Time, TV schedule, and how to watch

The Buckeyes are still searching for a big win this season. Can they get it done against Illinois?

Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Ohio State basketball's biggest win of the year remains...(scrolls down KenPom)...uh, Marquette? The blowouts against D1 bottom feeders were impressive, but against Louisville, North Carolina and Iowa, the Buckeyes fell behind big early, and were unable to completely crawl out of the hole in the second half to pick up a win.

Today could be different. Illinois is 10-4, but likely isn't as good as the other teams Ohio State has lost to, so perhaps today is the day the streak comes to an end. The Buckeyes will also have some special guests at halftime. The Ohio State football team, fresh off their conquest of Alabama in the Sugar Bowl, will be honored at halftime. Can the BasketBucks borrow some of that mojo?

If they can, they'll need big games from their backcourt of Shannon Scott and D'Angelo Russell, as well as some improved rebounding, which has been one of multiple weak spots this season. Can they get it down? Will we see any Slam Thompson GIFs?
