The good news for Ohio State basketball is that they have finally managed to beat a good team. Okay, maybe Illinois, now 10-5, could potentially stretch the definition of "good", as they may not be an NCAA caliber squad, but they're substantially better than Marquette, sit in the top 60 of KenPom, and most importantly, erase that pesky zero in the Big Ten wins column for the Buckeyes. Virtually every other game in league play is going to be tough, and Ohio State will have plenty of chances to build on a potential NCAA tournament resume.
But that was in the friendly confines of Columbus. Now, Ohio State must face a tougher foe, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, in the Barn. Can Ohio State grab their first road victory of the season?
To do it, they'll need to bottle up Carlos Morris, and hope that Andre Hollins continues his struggles. Will the Bucks stay in their man to man defense? Will they fire away from three? Can Ohio State avoid falling into a big first half hole?
