Last week, the Buckeye offense showed some life in their 49-28 win over Maryland. Tonight, Ohio State returns to prime time for our showdown with Penn State. The nation will be watching, so you should, too.
When and where is today's game?
The Buckeyes will face the Nittany Lions in Columbus under the lights. Kickoff is at 8 p.m.
So what's this whole "Dark Night in the Shoe" thing?
Remember those white outs Penn State does? You know, where everyone wears white? This is the opposite. The team is going to mix things up with some pretty sick black uniforms, so now we're just going all out with this. Fans attending the game are encouraged to wear black. For a night game, it could look really cool.
I'll be at home wearing scarlet. How can I watch?
Tonight's game is prime time, baby. The Buckeyes will be on ABC tonight, as well as WatchESPN. A big game deserves big names, which is why our TV crew for the game will be Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, and Heather Cox. Radio's always an option, too, on 97.1 FM The Fan or your local Ohio State radio network affiliate.
How's Penn State doing this year?
After a rough start (and let's be real; losing to Temple is about as rough as it gets), the Nittany Lions have done quite well for themselves. They're entering today's game with a 5-1 record overall and a 2-0 record in the B1G. As you may recall, last year it took the Buckeyes until the second overtime to win the game.
What about GameDay? Will they be here for the big game, too?
Nope. Believe it or not, there's a bigger game, and it's also in the B1G. Rece and the gang will be in Ann Arbor, where No. 12 Michigan is hosting No. 7 Michigan State. After losing their opener to a Utah team that has since risen to No. 4, Harbaugh and the Wolverines have turned into a serious threat in the Big Ten East, as well as the national scene; their last three wins have been shutouts, and two of those wins were against ranked opponents. The Spartans remain unbeaten. Seeing as Ohio State has to face both of these schools next month, you definitely won't want to miss this one. The game will be on at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN and WatchESPN.
That's some intense B1G action. What else is going on for the conference?
Five of the fourteen B1G teams are ranked going into today's games: No. 1 Ohio State, No. 7 Michigan State, No. 12 Michigan, No. 17 Iowa, and No. 20 Northwestern.
At noon, the day starts with Iowa at Northwestern and Purdue at Wisconsin.
At 3:30 p.m., we've got Rutgers at Indiana, Michigan State at Michigan, and Nebraska at Minnesota.
The day wraps up with the Buckeyes at 8 p.m.
