That didn't take very long. Just days after getting an offer from Ohio State, 2017 safety Brendon White has committed to the Scarlet and Gray, giving the Buckeyes 11 commitments for 2017, and strengthening their current grip on the #1 recruiting class in the country.
Blessed to say I have committed to play football at The Ohio State University!! #Gobucks— brendon white5⃣ (@therealestbw0) October 2, 2015
White, from nearby Olentangy Liberty, is the son of former Buckeye William White, who played in the NFL for 11 years. White is a composite three star recruit, but has a four star rating from 247, and could creep into a composite four star with solid play over the next two seasons. He also held offers from Notre Dame, Michigan State, Boston College, and more. He is currently listed as the 13th best player in Ohio, the 22nd best safety, and the 312th best player in the country.
White currently projects as a safety, but don't be surprised if Ohio State looks at him to play linebacker, or even wide receiver.
Congrats to White and his family. The 2017 Ohio State recruiting class should be pretty special.
