This morning, Ohio State and Nike unveiled the Buckeyes' first ever black uniforms. The predominately black head-to-toe look, which is accentuated by scarlet numbers outlined in gray, "characterizes the unyielding confidence of the eight-time national champions", per its designers.

Urban Meyer's squad will wear the alternate uniforms at home underneath the lights against Penn State on Oct. 17. Fans are expected to be asked to wear black accordingly.

To go along with the new uniforms, Nike's released the Ohio State Black Pack, a collection of fan jerseys, footwear, hats, and men's and women's t-shirts. The collection is available now at Nike.com and select retailers, including The Ohio State Official Team Shop, ohiostatebuckeyes.com, and Buckeye Corner locations in the Columbus area.
