The third edition of the College Football Playoff Top 25 was announced on Tuesday night, and for the third consecutive week, Ohio State was ranked No. 2. The top four teams remain the same with Clemson, Alabama, and Notre Dame all joining the Buckeyes.

Clemson had a closer than expected game this past Saturday against Syracuse on the road, in which they won 37-27. They have another presumably easy game coming up this Saturday against Wake Forest at home.

Alabama had an easy win against SEC West foe Mississippi State this past week, winning by a 31-6 score in Starkville. The Crimson Tide continue to impress every Saturday as the season has gone along, and is definitely a team nobody wants to play right now. The Tide essentially have a bye week this Saturday, playing against Charleston Southern in Tuscaloosa.

Ohio State went into Champaign Saturday, and for the eighth consecutive season, took home the Illibuck Trophy. While the Buckeyes won by a score of 28-3, many considered the win not very impressive, even as the Buckeyes covered the spread. The Buckeyes have their greatest test of the season coming up this week against Michigan State in Columbus.

Notre Dame knocked off Wake Forest by a 28-7 margin on Saturday, and will face Boston College this upcoming week in South Bend. The Irish will be looking for style points in the next couple of weeks in the hopes that they don't get jumped come the final College Football Playoff standings.
